We’re Going Back
To Meet The Bear
...A Friendly Bear
In 2018 FatStick was lucky enough to travel back to Kefalonia in order to meet up with Nickie from The Dolphin Ski Club. With her help we captured to incredible footage of this beautiful island and made some brand new friends. This is why we are on our way back in 2019.
Our new friend, Giorgos is starting a new business on the island of Kefalonia and FatStick will be helping him. ‘Kefalinis’ is the new way to see the hidden coves, beautiful coast and secluded beaches - but rather than booking an excursion and being tied down to times and specific locations, with Giorgos The Bear, the world (or island) is your oyster - and the best bit, it’s all on a SUP.
Why Kefalonia
Being an island, there is always a sheltered place to Paddle - the only thing you need is the ability to get there. Travelling from South to North takes no longer than 90 minutes and affords you the time and ability to pass some incredibly beautiful views.
With a new road leading to Assos and Fiscardo from the world famous Myrtos Beach, the journey, for the majority, is smooth and easy going.
Giorgos will take your booking and choose the best location for that day. Equipped with a well trained tour guide (Giorgos, of course), a full face snorkel & GoPro Camera you will set out at a Greek pace and begin your exploration.
Stopping to take a dip, grab that iconic picture or selfie or simply just to soak up the beauty of the island, this way of seeing Kefalonia is not only breath taking but unique.
Travel Arrangements
We are lucky enough to know Nikos Kokolis and he owns and runs the Avithos Resort in Svoronata. A short journey from the airport, a short walk from 2 stunning beaches (Avithos Beach & Ai Helis) and a beautiful, yet peaceful resort. Flights into Kefalonia are reasonable and we’ve flown in using Tui, Norwegian and also our regular, easyJet - all allow you to take your own iSUP as normal baggage and if you’re flying before 8am, you can check your luggage in the night before (if staying at the airport).
Still Unsure...
Maybe this will help you?
