THE COMPANY DIRECTOR, REUBEN MAY, IS PASSIONATE ABOUT WATERSPORTS. HE HAS SPENT MANY YEARS WITHIN THE WATERSPORTS INDUSTRY.

He studied Surf Science, teaching surfing, training as a judge in surf competitions, and traveling the world to find the best surf spots! Years later when he and his wife wanted to buy paddle boards for themselves Reuben found that generally the prices were very high for the “average Joe” so decided to invest in ten boards direct from a respected factory, two for himself and his wife, and the rest to sell to cover the cost.

That was going to be the end of the story. However the boards were received extremely well due to their great design and quality, so Reuben decided to buy a few more to sell in his spare time whilst at university studying Occupational Therapy. From those humble days FatStick grew into the friendly, passionate and affordable brand that it is today!

Today FatStick has a large range of boards and accessories to cater for all levels of surfers & paddlers in different disciplines within the sport. Reuben now has a network of dealers and team riders that support the brand and give input for board development and innovation.

But where the heck did the name FatStick come from? Great question! Surfers often call thier Surfboards a "Stick". A Paddle Board is basically a huge Surfboard hence the quirky brand name FatStick!
